if a file for a potential prosecution of smith was prepared and suppressed in 1969 it suggests he was used/protected before then.
the dickens files should be found ,it may be leon’s copy was “forgotten” as soon as mr dickens left the room but i recon leon would have needed to give it to those who could “investigate these allegations” or “make these problems go away”.
registry may not know they have got it,perhaps they could have a poke about and see if it was relabeled and filed safely just because somebody thought it should be kept.

he does seem to be well protected even after death perhaps he was a very important node.
if he was a clockwork orange asset (he does seem to fit that role rather well)did he come to the attention of sis very early in his political career and get used by co later or assuming sis vets mayors in greater depth than councilors is it more probable was he taken direct by co around 1966?the timings might help clear up who was using him.when did he gain protection?
smith’s political base was geographically local and contemporary to that of geoffrey dickens, does smith get a mention in the dossier? rochdale and west huddersfield are 30 mins apart by car or bus which makes me wonder if at least one of mr dickens’s sources took a quick trip over the hills to complain of dark deeds to someone who would listen.
who is preventing further investigation of smith by the police and what have the police found so far ?there are plenty of decent honest coppers who must be concerned by these developments ,if you can help explain please do.

Well that is an excellent question ! will we ever get the opportunity to answer it I wonder. How do we keep up the pressure to get this document revealed. I doubt very much that it was destroyed, because it strikes me that it would have given ‘them’ even more information for their little ‘Dirt Book’ and a perfect blackmail weapon to be used against those listed within. Well if he was being run as an asset (and it does seem likely), then further investigation will obviously uncover too many dirty secrets to be allowed. So ‘whoever’ they are will want this one neatly packaged up and forgotten about. Unfortunately for them, (but not for us) it has gone too far for that, as the Jack is well and truly out of the Box.

A Royal Commission further down the line needs to identify the individuals who shields Smith,Morrison etc and the role of the DPP and Attorney General in it needs to be thoroughly investigated

Shame on GMP, but then after the news that Yorkshire police’s exoneration i can say i am hardly surprised, just waiting for them to say there is nothing malicious about Prince Charles association with Jimmy Saville and other assorted pedophiles, they are not going to reveal who nominated saville for an honour, but we do know that on jimmy’s 80th Charles sent him some cufflinks and cigars and a note saying “Nobody will ever know what you have done for this country, Jimmy. This is to go some way in thanking you for that” , kind of says it all.
