I always suspected Matthew Parris was also an aardvark, perhaps he will now scuttle off into the undergrowth, but unlikely, as the BBC has always provided a safe haven for those willing to cover up for the corrupt and often perverted, establishment.
Aardvark, the establishment may well be ‘corrupt and often perverted’, and it’s clear that the BBC is part of that establishment. I don’t disagree with any of that. I have no idea if there is any merit to the accusations made against Edward Heath, but, as a general rule, we should avoid putting dead people on trial, wouldn’t you have thought?
Generally tdf, I would agree with you, that dead people should not be put on trial, however when justice was clearly perverted in the lifetime of those accused and their crimes covered up, then these crimes must be acknowledged, other wise there is nothing civilized or just about our Society. When multiple survivors, witnesses, including members of the Police have come forward (such as in Janner’s case) where the accused was obviously protected in their lifetime, then there is a miscarriage of justice and our legal system has failed and is no longer to be trusted. The Victims and Survivors of such crimes deserve justice and compassion, as they certainly were not given this respect in the lifetime of the accused. Our system is rotten, it needs changing.
