EXCLUSIVE: GORDON ANGLESEA — NEW REVELATIONS

REBECCA

headline_grid_guiltyGORDON ANGLESEA was today convicted of historic child abuse at Mold Crown Court.

The jury of six men and five woman unanimously found him guilty on four counts of indecent assault.

He was found not guilty of one charge of buggery.

Two men had claimed the retired North Wales Police superintendent abused them when they were teenagers in the 1980s.

The end of the case means Rebecca can reveal dramatic new developments in the case.

In 1997 a woman made an allegation that she had been indecently assaulted by Gordon Anglesea.

The woman — “ an adult acquaintance: of the family” — reported the matter to the North Wales Police.

GORDON ANGLESEA admitted lying about an indecent assault which took place some time in late 1996 or early 1997. The fact that Anglesea lied under caution has been suppressed by the North Wales Police for nearly two decades … .

Private Eye will not pursue money back from libel damaged

Ian Hislop has told that they will not look to seek money back from libel damages the magazine had to pay out regarding Anglesea.

Mr Hislop said: “During the libel trial Anglesea said that he had never assaulted any teenage boys. We now know that this was a lie, that he was indeed a paedophile, that in truth he had no reputation to defend and that he should never have sued anyone on this basis. I take a certain grim satisfaction in this verdict today and in the fact that justice has eventually been done. But it is a miserable story and it was one of the darkest periods of my editorship. I can’t help thinking of the witnesses who came forward to assist our case at the time, one of whom later committed suicide telling his wife that he never got over “not being believed. Private Eye will not be looking to get our money back from the libel damages. Others have paid a far higher price.”

You have NO idea how glad this makes me feel, these f***ers need to be brought to justice, these things don’t HAPPEN IN A VACUUM

Why was ‘Rebecca’ the “only” News-agency present, throughout the proceedings, why is this News, still being suppressed, pretty obvious really, isn’t it?

It’s very late, but at last, some justice for some of those poor, vulnerable, Children in appalling institutions in Wales, it’s way too late for many! What a completely rotten system we have, that allows a Chief of Police, to get away with such heinous, criminal abuse all those years. Perhaps William Hague might be able to enlighten us about any information, that might have been suppressed in the Waterhouse inquiry, which could have brought Anglesea’s and others convictions sooner? What about the evidence that went up in flames, how could that have happened, would it have had to have been an inside job? Was/is Anglesea a Freemason and who did he cover up for, how many others escaped justice and who was in this vile paedophile ring and were Children trafficked to London and elsewhere, as Survivors have stated?

No justice for all those in Aberfan from The National Coal Board, if you are poor and without status, you don’t have any power in Britain and you are certainly not, respected.

hopefully this development is just the beginning of opening a series of worm cans.
The Waterhouse inquiry and report deserves very close attention in the light of angelsea’s conviction.
if the libel damages are recovered perhaps the decent thing to do would be to put them towards suitable deserving causes.
perhaps angelsea’s membership of various organisations also deserves close attention to establish if it relates to these matters in any way.
i hope the sentencing reflects all the horrible aspects of these cases and the horrible chap’s behaviour and attitude over the decades in relation to such matters.
his role in various historic failures to properly investigate numerous allegations could be the basis for opening not only further cases against him but might lead to numerous other offences reaching the courts or at least being recognised as valid if the offenders are dead.
