“Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves.” – DH Lawrence

    I have a moment spare so…
“British influence will reduce to nothing.” “We’ll have to swallow whatever the EU comes up with.”
[This fellow is also big on the ‘Academy Schools’ front too.]
What is the EU? It is a ‘cabinet’ and a ‘commons’ of sorts. The UK Governments sits in that ‘cabinet’, and (heaven knows why) we’ve elected (UKIP) MEPs to sit in that ‘commons’.
-Of course UKIP have never done much apart from pocket the cash, while they’ve been there – but you all know that.
Whatever proposal comes before that ‘cabinet’, the UK has a strong voice in whether or not it goes forward – and no matter if ‘we’ win or not, ‘we’ are free to lie about it to the UK public.
Lastly: This nonsense about being able to vote-out what we don’t like.
Does anybody still believe this? After Thatcher turned to Blair, to Brown, to Dave & Nick, to Dave: All this looks like we cannot make up our minds or we have never been given much of a choice. Will Brexit ‘fix’ this?
