Newsnight IPCC investigation 16th March

An undercover police operation that gathered evidence of child abuse by Cyril Smith and other public figures was scrapped shortly after the MP was arrested, BBC Newsnight has been told.

The Liberal MP, who died in 2010, was held during a 1980s probe into alleged sex parties with teenage boys in south London, a source told the programme.

There is a discernible momentum in evidence, I’m not totally retreating from my pessimistic view, I’d still trust Hitler’s and Stalin’s ghosts ahead of our politicos.

I along with the many other pessimists may still be faced with the joyous prospect of being proved wrong yet.

The mere fact that these bastards are starting so many inquiries even if it is arse covering, positioning and damage control is a tacit admission of ‘something is rotten in the state of Denmark’.

As for cops and others fearing the prospect of coming forward lest they face the monster of an OSA prosecution, May should state explicitly that they will not be prosecuted.
The rest of us could make it clear that should a cop, ex cop or anyone else face OSA charges with regard to this scandal flash mobs will descend locust like at the relevant police station, there will be no need to throw missiles, light fires etc, with sheer force of numbers barricade the place, when threatened with arrest demand arrest, anyone not arrested using social media etc should call on others to join the barricades in support of the original arrestee and the protestors subsequently arrested ad infinitum.

They will try the Roman punishment of decimation, however, if people were to stand firm and reinforce the protests in the face of arrests, the authorities would realise that they can’t arrest everyone.
