This is the latest comment left on this blog by the source of Tom Watson’s PMQ in response to an article I posted yesterday:

I can confirm that the closed down Hereford and Worcester investigation of 1994 was re-ignited by Tom Watson’ PMQ last October.
That 1994 investigation began with the Customs/Police raid on Peter Righton’s home
Sadly 20 years on key figures like Righton have died and won’t face the justice their victims deserve
However it is some consolation that with determined policing and social media sites that we didn’t have then a lot of wrongs can now be put right
The public remain poorly informed by the mainstream media about the true extent of powerful people in child sexual abuse but I for one believe things are about to change
Although he didn’t get charged with the offences he committed at least the BBC documentary Secret Life…

It’s become clear that many politicians are silent and complicit. Their lack of support can easily be interpreted as they have ‘something to hide’ and are driven by self-interest.

These two pictures say it all:
    1) Child abuse

    2) MPs complain dinner expenses rules not generous enough

Remember that Tom Watson is a Labour MP who really dislikes Tories and wants to draw attention away from any former members of the Labour Party out there who had been convicted of child abuse. They are all low level politicians, mainly councillors. No senior member of the Labour party has ever been arrested for alleged child abuse.I don’t think I’m being cynical when I say that Watson has had some success in putting the spotlight on the Conservatives when he knows his own party has had many convicted of abuse.

    • Hi Dave,

You are so off the mark. I can tell you that politicians from all main parties will come into the spotlight as a result of Tom Watson’s question.

      • I apologise for remaining anonymous for the time being .I am the source of Tom Watson's PMQ on 24th Oct

I can give you first hand knowledge that Tom Watson is referring ALL politicians of EVERY party and it really gets under my skin that he still has doubters. HE IS NOT POLITICALLY MOTIVATED and is genuinely upset and shocked at what has been presented to him – he had found it very traumatic and upsetting
I wish the doubters would put more energy in to questioning why not even a handful of senior colleagues of his have not knocked on his door to
        1. See what information he has accumulated
        2. Given him their unconditional support

      • A fairly large number of MPs from across the political divide have been asked if they support Tom Watson MP on this issue by concerned constituents and have responded in writing. Perhaps, it may be time to compare the support they’ve pledged in this correspondence with the reality ?

I’m confident I could get this correspondence.

The case of R v Beck, Greville Janner was accused by a witness under oath of sexually abusing an under age boy. The trial judge tried a gagging order but the MSM actually had the decision judicially reviewed and over turned.

      • Dave

Janner talked his way out of any further investigation as the word of an MP &QC counted for more than that of someone who had been in a childrens’ care home. There is a lot on the net about this case and that can’t be doing Greville Janner much good.

Gojam – am I right in saying that when Tom Watson asked his PMQ he was referring to Righton and no one else?
