Naming The Living – Part 6

George Tremlett

I can confirm that documents seized under warrant by members of the Operation Fairbank police investigation team (now Operation Fernbridge) as evidence in the Elm Guest House paedophile scandal (1979-1982) allege that George Tremlett, former deputy leader of the Greater London Council, Author, and Bookshop Owner , was a regular visitor to the guest house where the abuse of young boys trafficked in from local care homes took place.

As such George Tremlett is likely to be a ‘person of interest’ to the police in regards to the Operation Fernbridge paedophile investigation.

” documents seized ” I take it would mean someone wrote down the names of the well known attending. I can’t see them leaving evidence of their own handwriting

even if `documents seized`told of people attending don`t you think somebody would have them `crushed`, I understand (or lead to believe you are ex-cop) I believe no cop would stand up to principals of the average working Joe. No principals – lets retire at 55 – rejoice!

Perhaps you would consider dropping ‘implicated’ and substituting ‘likely to be a person of interest to the police’

I offer the suggestion in utmost good faith.

I would also point out that in the very same set of documents from the Moss archive, George Tremlett is cited in the CGHE Newseltter as having made a derogatory remark about homosexuals, which the group had managed to get an apology for. So these documents are not even internally consistent.

    • And I would like to point out that it is not unusual for closeted homosexuals to appear homophobic in public. Not that I’m alleging anything about George Tremlett other than what is in the post.

But it would be quite extraordinary if the people writing the Newsletter had not known that Tremlett is supposedly gay, and already frequenting the Elm Guest House? And had still extracted a public apology from him? I don’t believe, personally, that more than a very few mentioned on that list ever visited the place. It seems to have been collated in hindsight, using names and rumours current at the time – a time when predatory paedophiles were very much in the news due to various court cases.

I think that some of the alledege people rather high up in government will never ever be named or mentioned in any investigation into child abuse . What worrys me is that some people have mentioned satanic deaths of some number of children and if that’s true then this is no longer an investigation into child abuse but a murder enquiry along side operation fernbridge but do we ordinary people really expect people in high office or high profile jobs to be questioned. The way it is now we got the corrupt police investigating corrupt politicians and corrupt business people who it seems are powerfull millionaires and another way to look at this is this story of child abuse and possible murder of. children could bring this morraly corrupt down like a pack of cards overnight. I really don’t expect the powerfull ones in government office today will ever be arrested or charged . Those that might try to bring them to book will either be arrested for some made up crime or disappear under the hands of mi5.

  6. He was an MP for twickenham which is close by. Served on GLC under Horace cutler as housing officer and opposed glc abolition and wrote about it in morning star. And appears on list of London councillors on camarthon council website but that page has gone missing .
